A polarizing pop star, an experimental filmmaker and a Swedish clothing company join forces for a new commercial and, surprisingly, it works. To promote their fall 2012 collection, H&M enlisted the help of singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey and filmmaker David Lynch.
The result is a two-minute music video of LDR performing Bobby Vinton's “Blue Velvet” while a series of Lynchian characters (little person and all) look on. The only indication that the video is tied to a brand is the sudden H&M title card at the very end. Watch the clip below. [HT]
