Dan Auerbach is having a career year. His mega-famous Black Keys aside, he's manned the boards for great albums by Dr. John, Hacienda, and JEFF the Brotherhood, proving there's not a riff too dirty that Auerbach won't jump on.
Recently, Auerbach sat down with the dudes from JEFF the Brotherhood (real-life brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall) and the folks at Noisey filmed the whole thing. The trio sort-of interview each other, discussing the Brotherhood's new album (Hypnotic Nights) while a counter tallies the times Jake says the words "spiritual" and "hypnotic" (he says both quite a bit). Meanwhile, Auerbach utters the phrase "man-musk."
Also, they get kinda drunk for 10 AM, sipping from mixed drinks and beers as they shift awkwardly on barstools. Eventually, shirts come off and they play some sloppy guitar. It's like watching the master train his rock star progeny. Watch the shagginess below.
