Watch Band Of Horses Rock Out ‘Letterman’ For 45-Minutes

Band of Horses’ new album, Mirage Rock, sounds like ’70s soft-rock outfit America (in a good way): lush harmonies, sticky-sweet melodies, and just a dash of country accent. But live, the band turns up the amplifiers and goes for broke.

Last night, Band of Horses stopped by Letterman‘s Ed Sullivan Theater to film a complete 45-minute set as part of the talk show’s “Live On Letterman” web series. The group will also make an appearance on the parent show come Wednesday, but for now check out Band of Horses trotting out the new cuts in a more relaxed setting than late night television.
