Arcade Fire performed in Kansas City last night, at the Starlight Theatre, and launched their three-song encore with a cover of Kansas' ultimate singalong, "Dust in the Wind." The song was performed by the band's bobbleheaded alter-ego, the Reflektors, who were later berated by Win Butler for playing a Kansas tune "in fuckin' Missouri."
Except for this slight oversight, the band has been very location-conscious on their current US-tour, playing renditions of popular anthems from each city they visited; so far, these included Boyz II Men's "Motownphilly" in Philadelphia and Prince's "Controversy" in Minneapolis.
