The first clip from the upcoming biopic about Jimi Hendrix titled All Is By My Side has finally surfaced. Starring André 3000 as the famed artist and Imogen Poots as Linda Keith his muse, the film is about to screen at SXSW. The film was brought to life by Oscar Award winning John Ridley (12 Years A Slave) and cover his life as an unknown backup guitarist from 1966-1967. But unfortunately, the film won’t feature any of Hendrix’s original music as his estate did not allow the usage. Instead you’ll hear songs that Hendrix has covered from the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Muddy Waters, and Elmore James.
