Watch A Ten-Minute Clip Of The Rosebuds Playing Live
The story behind The Rosebuds latest album, Loud Planes Fly Low, has now become pretty well documented. The previously married duo of Ivan Howard and Kelly Crisp ended their relationship but wanted to keep The Rosebuds going. So after taking some time off, they hit the studio to record Loud Planes Fly Low, a pretty solid effort that doesn't dwell too much in their personal affairs.
Instead, it showcases that these two are still capable of recording and, in the case of the above video, playing out together. Filmmaker Aaron Morrell captured the stellar footage from the Rosebuds' recent performance at the Grey Eagle Music Hall in Asheville, N.C. While the visuals are what really make this piece so great, the audio remains relatively clear throughout as the band moves through their set.
The Rosebuds are touring with Bon Iver this summer.
