Washington City Council Won’t Name Bridge After Kurt Cobain

After an easy 10-1 vote, the city council of Aberdeen, Wash., has voted against naming a bridge in the city after Kurt Cobain. The bridge plays an important role in Cobain lore, since he often said he used to sleep under it. Apparently the city was happy that the bridge didn’t get renamed: There was applause at the council meeting. However, the council did name a small stretch of land in a river the Cobain Landing, so Cobain did get something named after him. [Yahoo]
