Via: ReutersWarner Music proved today that someone in a position of power within the company is at least moderately intelligent, by announcing their new partnership with YouTube. Apparently someone realized that it might not be such a bad idea to have their artists' music videos available on a site that averages 100 million hits per day. Allowing their artists' videos to be seen by a wider audience in order to generate interest and sell records? What will these Record executives think of next...
Under the terms of the deal, Warner will use YouTube to distribute Music Videos, artist interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and original programming. Both Warner and YouTube will profit through advertisements which will be placed around the video (come on, you knew there had to be a catch somewhere.)
