Want your CDs to stop wobbling? Pay $900 and trim them down

Apparently, audiophiles are obsessed with the fact that CDs wobble, and create imperfect sound (I thought the point of CDs beating out vinyl was because it wobbled way less than records, but apparently I’m an audio noob). So, a company in Germany has the solution: a system (pictured here) they’re selling for $900 that you can use to trim the edges of your CDs to make them into un-wobble-able perfect circles. Seem excessive? You bet it does. Seem stupid? You bet it is. [Gizmodo]

Why stop at CDs? Concerned that your cookie might not be round enough? Stick it on there.

If it is the Munson I know from Oshkosh, he's totally lying. He thinks this is stupid.
