The Walkmen and Beach House announce west coast tour
West-coasters are in for a bit of a post-holiday treat this January, when the bands behind two of 2008's best albums join forces, and embark on a mini-tour, stopping off in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle.
The Walkmen's You & Meis popping up on many Albums of the Year lists, along with Beach House's Devotion. Seeing both bands share a stage could make for an ideal belated Christmas gift.

There's also another connection between these two bands: they both hail from the same region. The Walkmen, despite now being from NYC, grew up in DC, while Beach House comes from Baltimore, which is just a short drive down I-95.
I hope the tour doesn't wind up ending pretaturely because of a Redskins Vs. Ravens fight.
