Walkmen Announce New Album, 'Lisbon,' For September 14 Release
Apart from the news that they had signed to Fat Possum, all has been quiet on The Walkmen front since their 2008 LP, You & Me. No longer! The band has announced that their sixth studio album will be titled Lisbon, and it's due out on September 14. The record, according to Hamilton Leithauser, was inspired by Sun Records, but then put through The Walkmen filter. It was recorded in New York and Philly, with writing trips to Lisbon, Portugal, which accounts for the title. [P4K]
