Volcano Choir, Bon Iver Side Project, Ready Debut Album, Unmap, for September Release

In an interview with Pitchfork in May, Justin Vernon, aka Bon Iver, revealed that he had finished work on an album with fellow Wisconsin residents Collections of Colonies of Bees as Volcano Choir, and that the record would be out in September. Well, it turns out dude wasn't blowing smoke; Volcano Choir's debut album, Unmap, is due out on September 22 via Jagjaguwar. It features the nine tracks Vernon mentioned, and is reportedly more experimental than either band's roots.

Meanwhile, Vernon is busy working on the second Bon Iver album with his band in between some summer tour dates.

Here's Unmap's track list:

01 Husks and Shells
02 Seeplymouth
03 Island, IS
04 Dote
05 And Gather
06 Mbira in the Morass
07 Cool Knowledge
08 Still
09 Youlogy
