Vivian Girls at Work on Second Album

Vivian Girls show no signs of slowing down after hitting it big with last year’s eponymous debut. The ladies have already begun work on their follow-up record. They’re currently in the middle of recording the album at the Distillery in Los Angeles, and the band is aiming for a September release. The girls claim, in a brief interview with Pitchfork, that they’re hoping for a running time of about 35 minutes on the new record, which is epic territory for them. And if you were hoping for a guest spot from the girls’ friends in Fucked Up, like I was, you’re out of luck, since they don’t plan to include any guests at all on the new disc.

No word on a release date or track list just yet, but the band does plan to get right back on the road once they get the album finished.
