Vivian Girls show no signs of slowing down after hitting it big with last year's eponymous debut. The ladies have already begun work on their follow-up record. They're currently in the middle of recording the album at the Distillery in Los Angeles, and the band is aiming for a September release. The girls claim, in a brief interview with Pitchfork, that they're hoping for a running time of about 35 minutes on the new record, which is epic territory for them. And if you were hoping for a guest spot from the girls' friends in Fucked Up, like I was, you're out of luck, since they don't plan to include any guests at all on the new disc. No word on a release date or track list just yet, but the band does plan to get right back on the road once they get the album finished.

I dont get it. nothing new here.
can someone clue me in on why this group is "hitting it big"?
