"I Want More" was Can's only hit outside of their native Germany (it hit number 26 on the UK pop charts), and its stark concessions to disco and pop will probably surprise fans more acquainted with their Damo Suzuki-era material. Huge synths, funky fuzz guitars and sing-a-long vocals easily make it Can's catchiest track. I have no idea what show this is from; a German variety program (?) that has Can taking part in some on-camera hijinx and teaming up with some go-go dancers in a forest-decorated set. Anyone? Gotta love the magic of old television and weird cultural signifiers that I don't understand.
This is one of the greatest weirdo dance club songs ever. I too was quite confused when stumbling across it a while back, they finally get a hit and they're stuck lip synching it on the German version of the Benny Hill show? Careful what you wish for...
