My gripe in my recent review of Trans Am's latest album Sex Change was that it wasn't ambitious enough. The same definitely can't be said for this video. Time moves forwards, backwards, slows down, stops, and twists in on itself like an Escher drawing. The always indie-friendly Neal Hamburger appears. A sexy actress does a striptease. This is high-grade stuff. And it makes me think, yeah, Trans Am's music always has had a bit of a Jan Hammer-penned soundtrack quality to it.
