Video: Nas Discusses His Early Days, Divorce, Michael Jackson For Peter Rosenberg’s Noisemakers

Earlier this morning, we reported on what Nas has coming for us in the near future regarding his new album, Life Is Good. But now, we’re getting a full-on retrospective of his entire career thanks to this ridiculously informative interview with Peter Rosenberg as part of his Noisemakers series.

The two speak for nearly 33 minutes about the Queensbridge rapper’s career, from when he started out at Columbia Records to his phone conversation with Michael Jackson to his divorce from Kelis. You also get to learn about the five producers he would love to work with that he hasn’t yet, something that particularly fascinating to the hip-hop nerd writing this:

RZA, Diamond D, Teddy Riley, 9th Wonder (who he calls a weird motherfucker but that’s why he wants to work with him), and Quincy Jones.

Yeah, we’d be down for any of those. You can watch the entire interview below. [RR]
