Video: LCD Soundsystem "Someone Great"
I've been hoping for a while that this would be the next single LCD Soundsystem would release, since its a somber standout from Sound of Silver. (Who knew James Murphy could drop the schtick and get serious for a minute?) October 22 is the scheduled release date for the single, which will feature remixes of other SOS tracks from the likes of Carl Craig, Soulwax, Gucci Sound System, and others. As for the video, created by acclaimed experimental filmmaker Doug Aitken, it ponders whether someone great can truly ever be gone completely.
