Continuing the hoopla parade circling the release of Sound of Silver's second single, we now have a video. For an upbeat song with such a chummy title, "All My Friends", is actually lyrically quite introspective. Fittingly, for most of the video we get James Murphy in close-up, made up in face paint and suit like Ziggy Stardust, C.P.A. The changing light scheme adds some feeling to Murph's silver streaked but emotionless mug. Even the eventual emergence of two of his aforementioned pals can't lighten the mood, no matter how dedicated they are in their drum and piano pounding. The surprise Charlie Brown style personal raincloud is a bit of a bummer, I guess. Especially if you just went through excessive face paint time.

I think he's bummed that the guitarist from Hot Chip that's been playing with them didn't come out.
