Keren Ann's always been an uncomplicated, even lazy songwriter, and now we've got the evidence to prove it. In this video for "Lay Your head Down," culled from her self-titled fifth album, Keren spends a day dilly-dallying amidst the dunes, building sand castles, watching birds, letting her hair blow in the breeze, and holding hands with children clad in white. It's all very serene until we get to those damn handclaps, which (along with that weirdly tense bassline) keep this song from achieving the breezy charm she's going for.
