I agree with Dave, it sounds like they're stuck in the 22-year-old-just-out-of-college mindset: they have to mature at some point but they don't wanna.

The video's not bad. I like the long pullout affect. Quite cinematic. Reminds in a very small way of the clip for Radiohead's "Just," although it's nowhere near that awesome.

watch the video again.... it is not just a long pullout, but rather a composite of multiple shots. some of the film goes forwards and then backwards and not all at the same speed. Really made me feel a little creepy, not being able to really place what was going on. I was left thinking about the bystander's reactions to the accident - we see all of them. They are all shocked in their own way, but none of them are looking at where the body would be..

The video doesn't relate to the song. It is indeed a good video but it would be better if it was relevant to the song. I perceived the song as someone had a lover on the west coast who likes to flaunt and is extremely beautiful but yet deceiving, so the guy decides to move on hence "today my heart swings" He says he has a chance for a sweet sane life meaning without her he can accomplish this and he had big plans for himself but before all that can be done hes focusing on the present and a new direction in life. What a girl and three strangers have to do with walking in slow motion is beyond me. Maybe I should smoke a joint and watch it again.
