Video: Freddie Gibbs Talks "Education Through Imagination"
The folks at L-R-G have started a new video series called Education Through Imagination that asks some of their favorite artists to explain what they think Education Through Imagination means. For Gary, Ind. native Freddie Gibbs, who rolls up some weed while speaking to the camera, it's pretty simple: "Schoolin' yourself through your own mind" and "Educating yourself." He explains that "at the end of the day you ... have to put your own slice of genius on that shit to make it unique" in reference to whether someone can become an artist through merely going to school for it.
