Does anyone else find Matthew Friedberger a bit frightening? He reminds me of the type of movie villain John Lithgow used to play so well, before Lithgow veered off into that hideous 3rd Rock show and making kiddie albums. Oh well, at least Eleanor is cute. It's interesting how nothing much makes sense in this video, how there's no real connection between a lot of random imagery (a cat that goes from inanimate object to living feline, '70s-looking decor and dress, druggy haziness), yet it all seems to fit the song perfectly. Another revelation: damn, this song is going to sound great covered by David Byrne.
