Even though the video for "The Game" popped up first, "The People" will be the first official single for Common's new album, Finding Forever, which drops July 31. This video finds one of Chicago's finest wandering through the streets, giving pounds, kissing babies, etc. It kind of looks like a campaign video. If Obama takes the White House, Illinois will need a senator, no? .
I know this lends nothing to conversation, but... ... I love him.

i love this track.

i still like "the game" more. this one's still really good, though. i didn't really get into "be," but i've liked everything i've heard of this record so far.

Is it safe to say that Common is the KRS ONE of my time? I'm in my mid 20's for the record.

Often a time people get into heated discussions on attempting to define what they call "real hiphop", real hip hop... oh man. I think if anything is true, it is real and "the people" is real.

I'd say he's pretty much near the top of his game here. pretty excited for this album.

Common For President!
J To The A.A.P.
Probably the only rapper with integrity in his personal life. What he talks he lives.

My wife said that Common was Oprah this past week. I guess he was rebutting the Al Sharpton and Co. view of the current state of hip-hop. She said Common barely got to say anything though.
