Armed with just an acoustic guitar and his trademark voice, Chris Cornell headed to President Barack Obama's rally last night at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco. And in addition to other tunes, he performed a cover that couldn't have come at a more poignant time. Technically, it was a cover of a cover. But let's be real, most of us recognize "I Will Always Love You" as the track that even further propelled Whitney Houston's already-soaring career in the early '90s. You're feelings on his voice these days aside, you can't deny that this was a pretty damn solid take on the track. You can some great fan-shot footage of the cover below.
