Video: Chris Cornell Covers The Beatles

Chris Cornell is certainly no stranger to the random cover–just last February, the former Soundgarden frontman serenaded a crowd of Obama supporters with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” Last night, Cornell played an acoustic show at London’s Palladium theatre, and he pulled out all the stops for the audience. His set list included old Soundgarden favorites, as well as selections from Audioslave and his current solo album, Songbook. But mixed in were several covers of songs by the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Michael Jackson. And just to make sure he didn’t get caught behind in yesterday’s Sir Paul festivities, Cornell busted out a surprisingly faithful version of the Beatles’ “A Day In The Life.” The Chris Cornell Does The Acoustic Hits Tour, coming to a city near you.
