Man, is it just me or is Bjork getting a lot more of a media blitz this time around? I mean, she's a 90's icon, so anything she does is going to demand some level of attention, but I just don't remember as much of a hub-bub surrounding Medulla. Maybe it's just that the populace's ever decreasing attention span necessitates marketing over-saturation. Or perhaps people just like albums to have, you know, instruments on them. It is not for me to say.
Anyway, if you're not totally Bjorked out, here's her playing "Earth Intruders" with her Volta band on this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live. The chorus of voices behind her, and the warm brass section they turn into by the song's end, sets this version above its recorded counterpart.
