Vic Chesnutt and Elf Power kick off tour

After collaborating on last year's Dark Developments, Vic Chesnutt and psych-poppers Elf Power are heading out on tour together. The 19-date stretch of shows kicks off tonight in Chapel Hill, North Carolina at the Local 506, and ends with a special appearance in New York where they will be a part of a R.E.M. tribute concert. It seems only fitting, considering both Chesnutt and Elf Power hail from none other than Athens, Georgia, the town that Michael Stipe built. Head over to CMJ to see the full tour schedule.
