VH1's 'Famous Crime Scene' Preview (Video)

Last week, VH1 announced that it was going to be airing a new series called "Famous Crime Scene" that will look in depth at the death of celebrities like John Lennon, Tupac, Biggie, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson and Anna Nicole Smith*. Above is a trailer video for the series, which premieres on Friday, Feb. 12, and begins with an episode about Tupac's death. It seems like this might be another way for them to do Behind the Music without doing a Behind the Music episode. Though the promise of "true to life reenactments," which almost certainly means "reenactments shot on the cheap with actors who look nothing like the real people portrayed" does sound awesome. I guess this helps the network capitalize on the CSI craze, yeah? (Is there still a CSI craze?) Regardless, could make for an interesting watch.

The Tupac Famous Crime Scene show looks like it should be good. Josh Harraway has been impersonating 2pac for a while before he did this part.
