Via: ReutersOutside of HBO and PBS, there aren't many mainstream venues for feature-length documentaries on television. Add one more: VH1 has announced that it will begin its new "VH1 Rock Docs" series of feature-length documentaries on December 16, with "The Return of Courtney Love."
The Love documentary, originally produced in the UK, follows the controversial widow as she recovers from substance abuse and works on her new album. And of course, the network realizes that it never hurts to provide previously unseen home movies of the late Kurt Cobain.
Subsequent documentaries include the life of Tommy Chong before and after his arrest for selling bongs over the Internet, one person's quest to win the U.S. Air Guitar championship, a two-part special about New York City's tumultuous year of 1977, and a four-hour series examining key moments in the history of American sexuality.
