It’s not often that the three remaining members of The Velvet Underground get together, especially as the relationship between John Cale and Lou Reed regularly goes through rough patches. But they will reunite for an appearance at the New York Public Library on Dec. 8, where they will discuss their careers with journalist David Fricke.
The discussion will be part of the Live from the NYPL series, and tickets are available priced $25. Library donors, students, and seniors can get $10 off that price by buying tickets through the NYPL website. This talk coincides with the publication of the photograph and artwork collection, The Velvet Underground: New York Art.
Too bad this is already sold out.
And it's Tucker, Yule, and Reed. Cale isn't involved. He's the reason I'd want to go.
The Miserabilist
Yeah, this thing sold out super fast from what I've heard.
Didn't realize there was no Cale involvement. Suddenly, missing this doesn't seem so bad.
