Japanese immigrations officials got no love for the boys in Velvet Revolver as they have denied the middle-aging rockers''' request for visas to perform four shows at the end of the month. According to a band spokesperson, the ''"increasingly tough''" immigration officials are taking exception to some of the members''' backgrounds, particularly arrest records.
Funny thing is that the band toured Japan in 2005 without incident so it appears something'''s changed in the immigration/visa process. They were scheduled to perform four shows between November 26 and November 30.
''"We want to apologize to our fans in Japan that we won'''t be able to perform our scheduled concerts,''" the band said in a group statement. ''"We don'''t understand why the authorities won'''t give us visas when they granted them for us in 2005 for what was a successful tour and a great experience.''"
