I won’t be holding my breath anytime soon – and I suggest that you keep right on inhaling and exhaling as well – but Eddie Van Halen says he’ll be making music with David Lee Roth soon. Oh, I know – the news sounded familiar to me, too. Apparently, just after his son Wolfgang (VH’s bassist these days) graduates from high school and he remarries his fiance, Janie Liszweski, Eddie and the rest of the Van Halens are planning to get together with Diamond Dave, write some songs, and maybe even take the show on the road. Let the waves of déjà vu wash over you:
"Dave, Wolfie, Alex and I are a band," says Van Halen. "If Dave's up for singing ... [we’ll] do another tour, and just see where it takes us. Actually, next week or the week after Wolfie, Alex, and I are gonna start jamming. Maybe we'll give Dave a call and see what he's up to."
It’s a little hard to muster the energy to care after your dreams of reliving 1984 (a.k.a. first grade) have been dashed so many times, but we’re sure however this ends, the outcome will be appropriately VH-style dramatic. [Spinner]
