It’s pretty much impossible to watch TV and not hear Black Keys and Vampire Weekend in an ad. That’s probably a good thing; I guess it’s better than hearing Ricky Martin all the time like we used to. I’m not going to get into the question of selling out, and instead, am going to laugh at this sell-out-off the bands get into on Colbert Report. Colbert squares the bands off against each other in how many commercials their songs have been in, and among the things we learn is that “Girl Is On My Mind” is the only Black Keys song any music supervisor has ever heard. Funny stuff. I’ll get out of the way and let you watch it over here.
