Via: Billboard Big changes are afoot at V2 Records, as the label is currently in the midst of being restructured into a catalog label. On Friday, parent company Sheridan Square let the entire V2 staff go, including label president Andy Gershon. It's estimated that 35 people lost their jobs due to the restructuring. In addition to numerous people being out of jobs, this move also means that, for the moment, acts including The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and Moby are labeless. The label will retain teh rights to the White Stripes back catalog however. Is focusing on catalog releases a smart move for V2 in the long run? Leave some comments below.
