Well, that didn’t take long. The bandmates of Glasvegas frontman James Allan were understandably concerned after he went missing for five days following a festival appearance in Italy. But the singer has apparently been alerted to the reports of his disappearance and has confirmed that he is alive and well.
Allan is in New York, where he is preparing for the band’s upcoming U.S. tour with Kings of Leon. Why he didn’t show up for the scheduled Glasvegas performance at the Mercury Music Prize ceremony remains a mystery, although his friends and family are probably just glad that he’s still walking the Earth.
"He got in touch with me yesterday at 1.45pm to tell me he was OK because he knew people were worried," said the band’s manager. "I've been just as much in the dark about this as anybody - the last time I saw James was at the gig in Cardiff. I don't even know exactly when he went missing."
