Though Motorhead frontman Lemmy could probably hold his own against an army of zombies, Godzilla, or Bono's ego, he and Motorhead simply couldn't withstand the economic downturn that has gripped the United States. The band's upcoming Samsung Mobile Musink Tour, where Motorhead would have joined Social Distortion in rocking, rolling, and spreading the word about tattoos and unlimited minutes plans, has been cancelled due to the "current economic climate." Though this is undoubtedly bad news for the bands, think of the untold masses of people who are, in these tough times, denied a chance to rock and find out about cell phones. Samsung should look into finding a partner and getting this show on the road. Camel Cigarettes, for example, would probably love to go halfsies. Those guys are always looking to get into the music business. [Idolator]
