So it's time to get paid for it." Hell, he should just file a lawsuit on every iPod owner and get it over with. Are you a legitimate purchaser of iTunes tracks? A person ripping your own CD's under whatever vestige of fair use law still exists? Clearly it's only a matter of time before you fall into felonious ways.
When you say that Microsoft will be paying Universal a charge for each Zune sold, one could just as easily say that consumers will be paying a charge to Universal for the privilege of owning a Zune. Perhaps we can refer to this as a "Brown Tax"?

What it means is I'm that much less likely to buy one of these things. I still feel kinda dirty for buying an Xbox 360, though Gears of War helps to cover over the guilt.
