After Dan Henderson pulled himself out of UFC 151 with a MCL injury the whole card was cancelled. UFC 152 in Toronto is now UFC 151 and receives an extra fight. Number one conteder Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida will now get the chance to avenge his loss to current lightheavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones from UFC 140.
The championship match will also be joined by the flyweight championship fight between Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson. Rounding off the rest of the pay-per-view card will be Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann, TJ Grant vs. Evan Dunham, Matt Hamill vs. Vladimir Matyushenko and Cub Swanson vs. Charles Oliveira.
With Machida fighting Jones much sooner than expected, will he able to implement a stronger strategy than their first match? Many have claimed that he won the first round of their fight prior to losing in the second round with a guillotine. Many have also claimed that he has been the only fighter to have been able to give Jones an actual puzzle to solve. He now has another chance to present another.
UFC 151 is now scheduled to take place on September 22, 2012 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.
