U2 warns fans of second Internet tour scam

When you are the biggest rock band in the solar system, there are bound to be some parasites clinging to your gargantuan, battlestar-like hull of rock awesomeness. For the second time in six months, Irish rockers U2 have been forced to alert their fans of bogus tour rumors hitting the Internet. In an official statement on the U2 website, the band urged fans not to "get stung by buying tickets for shows that don't exist" and that  "any future live announcements will be made on U2.com as soon as details are confirmed." While U2's fans are probably glad to be warned, odds are they'll now have to spend most of the day looking for other ways to spend their Nigerian lottery winnings. [Contact Music
