Rock dinosaurs U2 shocked Berlin residents by erecting a wall to block the view of their free concert celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Though MTV characterizes the twelve-foot metal fence, which is draped with an opaque white tarp, as a temporary security measure, the good folks in East Berlin are understandably peeved. The barrier effectively blocks the view of anybody who failed to get tickets to the show, and while it might have been deemed necessary for the security of the band, there has to be something else to be done. On the other hand, this is just one more step in U2's evolution into Spinal Tap. They've already been tapped inside a lemon; Bono should just start the show with "Hell Hole" and be done with it.
