U2, Oasis to Battle on UK Charts

It's been far too long since there's been a legitimate UK chart smackdown, but it looks like there's a good opportunity for nasty smack talk to come out of the Gallagher brothers' mouths very soon. November 21st will see best-of releases from both Oasis and U2. Oasis chief songwriter Noel Gallagher, who lest we forget in '95 told the press that he hopes Blur's Damon Albarn will "catch AIDS and die," has told Hotpress that "We'll Win." I'd think he could say something better then that. I mean, its Bono. To confound this competition, November 21st will see releases from rap heavyweights Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg. Yikes. Can'''t wait to hear what Gallagher has to say about those two. Oh and also, Axl is currently slating Chinese Democracy for the same date. Uh huh.
