It appears Odd Future's takeover of the public consciousness happened in earnest this past week, when Tyler the Creator's great sophomore LP, Goblin, sold slightly more than 50,000 copies, good enough for number five on Billboard. Apparently at least a segment of the people who are obsessed with Odd Future pay for records.
What's more astounding is that Adele tops Billboard yet again, selling more than 156,000 copies of 21, which shows no signs of slowing down. At this rate, she's gonna get near 3-5 million, by the end of the year, which will make it hard to top. Elsewhere on the charts, Lonely Island hit number three with their sophomore album, Turtleneck & Chain, selling 65,000 copies. [HDD]
