For some reason, it seems like it has been way more than two years since The Twilight Sad released their debut album, Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters. But we've been missing some big, brooding Scottish guitars since then, so it's good to know that the band will finally unleash their sophomore full-length, Forget the Night Ahead, in September.
The band's vocalist James Graham recently talked with Pitchfork about the new album, and what Graham has to say can be pretty perplexing. He tackles impossible tasks like the paradox of writing about forgetting, making a sophomore album that is somehow darker than their crushingly bleak debut and how to make fire extinguishers musical instruments.
