Twilight Sad Singer Talks New Album, Forget the Night Ahead

For some reason, it seems like it has been way more than two years since The Twilight Sad released their debut album, Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters. But we've been missing some big, brooding Scottish guitars since then, so it's good to know that the band will finally unleash their sophomore full-length, Forget the Night Ahead, in September.

The band's vocalist James Graham recently talked with Pitchfork about the new album, and what Graham has to say can be pretty perplexing. He tackles impossible tasks like the paradox of writing about forgetting, making a sophomore album that is somehow darker than their crushingly bleak debut and how to make fire extinguishers musical instruments. Apparently, they make a nice noise when you are "kicking the fuck out of them." Thanks for the tip James. Check out the full interview here.

Forget the Night Ahead will be released by Fat Cat on Sept. 21 in the UK and Sept. 22 in North America. [Pitchfork]
