Even though Christmas now stretches pretty much to Halloween, for most folks (especially those heading back to work after a "relaxing" family weekend) it's way to early to even approach having any Christmas cheer. With three long weeks before the big day, there is a great window for some bah-humbugging before getting back in Santa's good graces. To fuel you Christmas animus, here's a list of the twelve worst Christmas of all time:
12. "Santa Baby" by Madonna
11. "Wonderful Christmastime" by Paul McCartney
10. "Christmastime" by Smashing Pumpkins
9. "8 Days of Christmas" by Destiny's Child
8. "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" by Bruce Springsteen
7. "Christmas Conga" by Cyndi Lauper
6."Santa's Beard" by The Beach Boys
5. "Merry Christmas With Love" by Clay Aiken
4. "Merry Christmas (I Don't Wanna Fight Tonight)" by The Ramones
3. "Oi to the World" by No Doubt
2. "Please Daddy (Don't Get Drunk This Christmas)" by John Denver
1. "Do They Know It's Christmas" by Band Aid
The whole point of lists is to have something safe and pseudo-interesting to argue about, so feel free to add or subtract to this list as needed. While there really is no debating the inclusion of the McCartney song, Clay Aiken seems like a natural for Christmas music. There is a need for someone to carry the Manilow mantle, and this fellow is doing it so nobody else has to; he should at least be allowed to do it in peace. I also take issue with the number one song. Even though Bono was involved, it was when he was cool. It was also when getting a bunch of stars together to make music for charity was cool, and inspired We Are the World, which finally got Huey Lewis, Bruce Springsteen, and Stevie Wonder recording in the same room. There can be no wrong from this song. [Spinner]

I don't care what you guys say, I love Wonderful Christmastime.
