TV on the Radio's Kyp Malone (aka the one with the giant beard) has announced that he is launching a solo project called Rain Machine that will have its debut album out this fall. Malone was a solo artist prior to hooking up with Tunde Adebimpe and Dave Sitek for the first TV on the Radio album, Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes, so it's not like he's never done his own thing before.
Malone recorded Rain Machine's debut album, which is due out via Anti-, with Lucinda William producer Ian Brennan. I wish we could lead you somewhere where you could hear some of Malone's music, but Rain Machine doesn't have a MySpace page yet. So, we'll have to wait a while to hear what Malone's been working on.
