Trent Reznor has been a busy man since taking Nine Inch Nails permanently off the road, and he’s clearly got more on his mind than the recently released How To Destroy Angels project. Now news has emerged that Reznor has written the score for David Fincher’s new movie, The Social Network.
The film is about the founding of Facebook, which may sound like the least exciting premise for a movie ever, but with the involvement of Fincher, Reznor and Justin Timberlake, it surely must be worth a look. The Nine Inch Nails singer says it is "really fucking good. And dark!"
“I've always loved David's work but quite honestly I wondered what would draw him to tell that story,” Reznor said. “When I actually read the script and realized what he was up to, I said goodbye to that free time I had planned." The soundtrack has been written by Reznor with his longtime collaborator Atticus Ross, and he promises it will be available “a couple of weeks ahead” of the film’s October 1 release date.
