In a sudden but predicted move, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has finally decided to delete his Twitter account due to troll abuse and malicious messages. Though you might ask why Trent didn't just turn his account over to a PR rep, the social networking service has had Reznor in a Twittering tizzy for a while now. As any Twitterer knows, what tweets around comes around (cue scenes from Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds"), and Reznor's personal life had become subject to ridicule, including attacks against himself and fiancee Mariqueen Maandig. Reznor had reportedly cut back on his Twitter use last month, omitting all personal details from his life and only discussing NIN updates and the like. But now, after deleting his account once before and reviving it, Reznor has become sick of the service altogether. Cry me a river and all that, but celebs do need to be a little more careful on the internets than the average Twit! [TechCrunch]
