Trent Reznor calls Smashing Pumpkins "too corporate," wins coveted "King Obvious" trophy

Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor told NME Friday what all of us have been denying to ourselves these past few months '' that the new reformation of Smashing Pumpkins is just "too corporate." Sayeth Trent: "I was never a big Smashing Pumpkins fan back when they were the Pumpkins, not to shit on Billy (Corgan) or anything but I don't hear anything that would make me want to care. I think trying to resurrect the name Smashing Pumpkins ... it's all a bit corporate for me." Reznor then jumped onto a giant PepsiCo. helicopter filled with cash, grabbing his crotch and defiantly waving his middle finger to reporters as the craft ascended into the night sky.
But seriously, this must've made things pretty tense at the Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend. Hey Trent, didn't you stop to think that maybe Billy's, like, really trying to take down the system from the inside? In other news, fans still anticipate NIN's Year Zero Remixed, to be released at an as-yet-unnanounced date in the future.
