Tracklists revealed for Dylan, three-disc career-spanning anthology

Bob DylanIt seems near-blasphemous to whittle down Bob Dylan's career into a consumable trifle of greatest hits, even if it is three discs long. Every hardcore Dylanite will probably find his or her own individual bones to pick with the tracklisting (included below) for Dylan (due October 2), so in that spirit, here are some of mine:
-Only one track from Highway 61 Revisited?
-Nothing from New Morning, but forgettable tracks from Planet Waves and Blood on the Tracks?
-Why "Most Likely You'll Go Your Way" from Blonde on Blonde instead of "Visions of Johanna" or "Stuck in Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again"?
-General lack of minor but illuminating selections that would've distinguished this set from Greatest Hits 1, 2 and 3, songs such as "To Ramona," "I Threw It All Away," "The Man In Me" and much from The Basement Tapes
-No Traveling Wilburys???
Whew. Well, I guess we can all crow about it 'till the cows come home, or just go ahead and drop a load on all those Dylan SACD remasters that came out a few years back. A Mark Ronson remix of ''"Most Likely You'''ll Go Your Way (And I'''ll Go Mine)''" will be available on iTunes in conjunction with the anthology's release. There will also be a single disc version of Dylan; here's the full tracklists for both:

Oh boy, that tracklisting is bordering on lackluster.

Sara Schweizer

Actually, lackluster isn't a good word. I mean that the producers definitely picked the easy hits... pretty average. Poor Bobby.

Sara Schweizer

No Shelter From The Storm or Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carrol???

Karl B

i guess, in their defense, it'd be impossible to please everyone. still, why bother with this when you can get GH 1,2 + 3 in the bargain bin?

Joel Michael Cusumano

"If Not for You" is from New Morning. But yeah, the tracklist sucks.

Andrew Wallace

No one gets Bob. He should have been the one to pick the list. Oh, Sister would have been included had he picked the list. Maybe the company just wants the money they know they can earn from songs that hit home and continue to hit home; albeit for a different generation. The gen x and gen y'ers have tons of money and love package deals. Maybe that explains the crappy list.

Donna

No "Isis?" No "Desolation Row?" No "If You See Her, Say Hello?"And The Times They Are A-Changin seems really underrepresented for one of his 'classic-era' albums. Where's "Boots of Spanish Leather," "With God on Our Side," or "The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carrol?"At least "Willie McTell" made it in.
