Normal Happiness, Pollard'''s second album of the year drops on October 10 and it'''s pretty much what you'''d expect: a pile of blink-and-you'''ll-miss pop-rock songs. Opening salvo ''"Accidental Texas Who''" is a buck thirty-six of punchy hooks and Bob trying to wash some woman out of his hair. Pollard pulls out some weird vocal inflections here, and I'''m not quite sure how I feel about it. Is this just typical Pollard weirdness for weirdness''' sake, or is Pollard so burnt out he thinks he sounds good? Not bad for a quick and easy pop fix, but do we really need another Pollard album so soon? Give us a chance to miss you Bob!
